CRSF is about bringing together the most cu

First held in 2011, CRSF is an annual postgraduate conference designed to promote the research of speculative fictions including, but not limited to, science fiction, fantasy and horror.

Our aim is to showcase some of the latest developments in this dynamic and evolving field, by providing a platform for the presentation of current research by postgraduates. The conference will also encourage the discussion of this research and the construction of crucial networks with fellow researchers.

Book Table: Liverpool University Press

We can confirm that there will be a book table at CRSF 2011 selling copies of science fiction criticism and journals. The table will be run by Liverpool University Press who publish the journal Science Fiction Film and Television (ed. by Mark Bould and Sherryl Vint) as well as the Liverpool Science Fiction Texts and Studies series of books which includes work by John Clute, David Seed, Brian Aldiss, Gary Westfahl and many others.

Further to LUP's table we've had messages from other academic publishers asking if they can send material to publicise their journals to our delegates. If you represent an interested publisher, journal, or academic society and are interested in advertising, or maybe even setting up a table, at CRSF then please get in touch and we will see what we can do. Send an e-mail to: crsf2011@gmail.com.

Update 13.06.11: Unfortunately, due to scheduling clashes, a LUP rep won't be at the conference after all. They will however still have an unmanned stand with promotional material and contact details for any that are interested.

CRSF is a postgraduate conference designed to promote the research of speculative fictions including, but not limited to, science fiction, fantasy and horror.

Our aim is to showcase some of the latest developments in this dynamic and evolving field, by providing a platform for the presentation of current research by postgraduates. The conference will also encourage the discussion of this research and the construction of crucial networks with fellow researchers. The University of Liverpool is a leading centre for the study of speculative fiction, being home to the Science Fiction Foundation Collection, and is thus ideally suited to such a cause.
This year's focus is on encouraging postgraduates to network with others in their field, and related areas, whilst also demonstrating the depth and breadth of research currently being conducted into speculative fiction.
